A man who sexually assaulted a dancer at a strip club before ejaculating on her leg has been jailed for 15 months.

Amranuzzman Chowdhury was convicted at Bristol Crown Court last week after pleading guilty.

The court heard how the 40-year-old, who works as a chef, had paid £20 for a private dance at the club in August 2017.

But when the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, put the money away in her purse, Chowdhury suddenly grabbed her.

As the pair struggled she fell backwards onto a mirror, before feeling something warm on her bare legs which she realised was Chowdhury’s semen.

Julian Howells, prosecuting, told the court the establishment had strict rules which prohibited patrons from touching the dancers.

“The rules are quite clear. There is no contact with dancers,” he explained.

“He put his arms around her, causing her to fall into a mirror. She had bare legs and she could feel the fabric of his jeans. He didn’t stop.

“She said ‘he was in a world of his own’ as she struggled to get free from his grip.

“She felt something warm on her right thigh, which was quite clearly semen, and said ‘what the f*** is that?’.”

Mr Howells said the 40-year-old’s penis was clearly exposed during the incident, and added Chowdhury then appeared to wipe himself off on a nearby curtain.

As well as the assault, the chef was convicted of offering a stranger in the street money for sex, just three weeks after the incident at the strip club.

The court heard Chowdhury, who at the time lived in Weston-super-Mare but has since moved to East London, approached a member of the public in Weston High Street and tried to give her £30 if she would have sex with him, before groping her.

He was found guilty of solicitation and fined by magistrates.

Judge Mark Horton told Chowdhury, who worked as a chef across the country, he had caused “degradation and humiliation” for the victim.

He said: “You forced yourself upon her with an erect penis in contact with her body and ejaculated on her leg.

“She made it plain to you no personal contact was allowed.”

Rupert Russell, defending Chowdhury, admitted his client had embarked on a “very unpleasant bout of sexual behaviour” but said it had been triggered by the breakdown of his marriage.

“It has been a shock to the system and he has not offended in two years,” Mr Russell added. “He has shown genuine remorse.”

Chowdhury was also given a five-year restraining order preventing him making contact with his victim and will spend 10 years on the sex offenders register.
