29 held in Olympic Games ticket tout probe

Some 29 suspected ticket touts have been arrested since the start of the Olympic Games, police said today.

Eleven people have since been charged on suspicion of illegally reselling tickets for London 2012 events, according to Scotland Yard.

The suspects, aged between 30 and 57, are due to appear at various London magistrates' courts over the next three weeks.

On the day of Friday's opening ceremony Wolfgang Menzel, 57, and Maria Bukranova, 30, were arrested and later charged.

The following day Ergin Karakas, 38, Kenneth Cole, 38, Paul Gabriel Ramoiu, 36, Cosmin Constantin Vuc, 36, Olufisayo-Joseph Taiwo, 33, Cezar Navajas, 35, Paul Johnson, 42 and Lloyd Duncan, 50, were also arrested and then charged.
