16-year-old to face court over park murder
A 16-year-old boy will appear in court today charged with the murder of teenager Amar Aslam.
The boy was arrested on Friday in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Amar, who was found dead in Crow Nest Park, in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, on 25 May.
West Yorkshire Police said the teenager has been charged with murder and robbery and is due to appear at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court this morning.
Three boys and a man were remanded in custody last week when they appeared in court charged with Amar's murder.
Amin Hussain Ali, 20, from Dewsbury, and the three 15-year-old boys, who cannot be named, appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court on Thursday accused of murdering Amar and robbing him of £10, a silver chain and a mobile phone.
All four were remanded to appear before Leeds Crown Court on 5 June.
Three other youths also arrested last week have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
