Georgina Malcolm was reportedly arrested after trouble erupted at her birthday party.
“She was placed in a police van with handcuffs but she is double-jointed and so was able to release the cuffs,” depute fiscal Jenny Hamilton told Dunfermline Sheriff Court, according to Dundee newspaper The Courier.
The 47-year-old then spat at the officers, telling them she had hepatitis C. When one officer opened the van door she hit his hands with the cuffs.
When another officer tried to secure Malcolm’s legs, he “felt a pinch on his left buttock and found she had bitten him,” Ms Hamilton added.
“All this time she was claiming she had hepatitis C," Ms Hamilton reportedly said.
"The officer had teeth marks requiring hospital treatment.”
Both the officer she bit and the one she hit with the cuffs had to go to hospital for health checks.
Defence solicitor Jerry Flynn said his client “lost the plot” after drinking too much at her birthday party.
He said she was registered blind, having lost the sight in one eye and with the condition of the other eye deteriorating.
