Androgynous sculpture hewn from 25-ton blocks of granite adds artistic weight to London development

Stephen Cox with one of the two 11 1/2-ton figures in his work Echo which stands in Fleet Place, near Ludgate Circus. The granite sculpture, fashioned by a team of 20 in Cox's studio in India, took a year and kept a blacksmith fully employed replacing broken chisels.
