Investigators name airport bomber
Authorities have named Magomed Yevloyev, 20, as the man suspected of blowing himself up at a Moscow airport last month, killing 36 people and injuring 180. A court also ordered the arrest of his 15-year-old brother and 16-year-old sister.

Suspect quizzed over buttock operation
Police in the US were questioning a woman yesterday over the death of a young Londoner following a cosmetic buttock treatment. Claudia Aderotimi, 20, died after travelling with three friends to Philadelphia for the procedure on Monday. MORE
Somali pirates grab $200m oil tanker
Suspected Somali pirates have captured a huge tanker carrying around $200m (£125m) worth of crude oil and 25 crew members through the Indian Ocean to the United States, in one of the biggest hijackings in the area so far. The attack comes amid record worldwide hijackings, almost all blamed on Somalian pirates. MORE

Becks does his good deed to kick off day
David Beckham stopped to help a stranded family whose car broke down on the way to school yesterday. He pulled over during morning rush hour near a roundabout in Ware, Hertfordshire, to assist photographer Paul Long and his two children. Long had been ignored by other motorists before the football star came to his rescue.
Catholics told Father iHave sinned is no go
Catholics cannot confess via iPhone and technology is not a substitute for admitting sins to a priest, said a Vatican spokesman. It comes after the launch of Confession: A Roman Catholic App, which helps believers prepare for confession.
Dialling a very wrong number
An American man on trial for killing his wife accidentally recorded the crime on her mobile phone, a Florida newspaper reported. Ronald Earl Williams, 45, apparently called his wife and activated her answer phone. He can be heard threatening to kill Mariama Williams, 31, along with the woman’s terrified screams.
Come Dine With Me voice moves to CBBC
Dave Lamb, the acerbic commentator on the Channel 4 dinner-party series Come Dine With Me, is to host a children’s history quiz show called Gory Games on CBBC. The quiz is based on the Horrible Histories series, inspired by the books of Terry Deary.
