Ex-RBS banker jailed for fraud
An ex-Royal Bank of Scotland banker who racked up £19.5m losses then admitted to committing fraud trying to hide them at the British taxpayer-owned bank was today jailed for 50 months. Shirlina Tsang, 43, worked for RBS in Hong Kong.
Pioneering Dolby dies at age of 80
Ray Dolby, the US electrical engineer who pioneered Dolby high-quality "surround sound" , has died at the age of 80. He became a billionaire when Dolby Laboratories, the company he founded in London in 1965, floated in the US in 2005.
Kentz retains its independence
Kentz has successfully fought off two suitors in an attempt to keep its independence. The oil and gas engineering group said the German-based M+W Group had followed fellow suitor Amec yesterday in walking away from making a formal offer.
