A 14-year-old girl plotted with her 13-year-old boyfriend to murder people on a ‘kill list’ - including members of their own family, it is alleged.

Alaina Jade Blake battered a 56-year-old relative of her boyfriend with a hammer after sneaking into his bedroom, according to prosecutors in Maryland.

Her young boyfriend heard a "blood-curdling scream" and entered the room where he stabbed the unnamed relative with a curved knife, it is claimed.

The victim managed to call 911, and the blood-covered pair allegedly fled to the roof of the home in Manchester when they heard police arriving.

He was the first target on their so-called ‘kill-list’, according to police, and will need reconstructive surgery on his face.

Blake’s grandparents were next on their list, said senior assistant state attorney Jennifer Brady, along with “possibly others”.

Court documents say the pair had acquired a large amount of money, with which they planned to use to flee to Canada after their victims were dead.

Blake had reportedly asked her boyfriend to kill her once they reached the country.

Blake has been charged as an adult with attempted first and second-degree murder, the 13-year-old is considered a juvenile so cannot be named and his charges are unknown.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 6.
