WHILE SOUTH-EAST England was getting a blast of winter yesterday, Boulogne in northern France was bogged down under 40mm of rainfall between 6pm on Wednesday and noon.
The 18-hour deluge was almost two-thirds of the rainfall expected for the month. A spokesman at the Meteorological Office said the edge of the front bringing rain to France and Belgium was responsible for the poor weather in London.
