Mitchell, has given birth to a baby boy at a hospital in New York City. The
man in charge of the talks flew back from Belfast to be at the side of his
wife Heather, 37, when their son Andrew MacLachlan weighted in at 7lb 14oz.
Senator Mitchell, 64, has a daughter by his first marriage.
