He left pounds 40,000 to Compton Hall, Wolverhampton; pounds 20,000 each to Tettenhall College, and St Anthony's Cheshire Home, Penn; pounds 10,000 to the Wolverhampton Samaritans; and pounds 5,000 each to Claverley Parish Church and Lichfield Cathedral.
Sir John Martindale Wilson, of Twyford, Hampshire, former Second Permanent Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, left estate valued between pounds 40,000 and pounds 70,000 net. He left pounds 500 each to the Friends of Winchester Cathedral and the Civil Service Benevolent Fund.
Mrs Esther Mary Green, of Lower Peover, Cheshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,118,843 net.
Mrs Enid Stafford Taylor, of Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,432,167 net.
Mr Alan Charles Hoare, of Newbury, Berkshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,249,846 net.
Mr John Henry Brown, of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,086,392 net.
Audrey Edith Gray, of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, left estate valued at pounds 716,962 net. After personal bequests of pounds 313,500, she left pounds 50,000 to the Florence Nightingale Hospice, Stoke Mandeville, pounds 1,000 to the Wellington House Surgery, Princes Risborough, pounds 500 to Monks Risborough Horticultural Society, pounds 250 to the Princes Risborough Literary Institute, and a portion of the residue each to the Radiotherapy Fund at Churchill Hospital, Oxford, the Eye Appeal at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the British Kidney Patient Association, the Arthritis and Rheumatism Council, the World Wildlife Fund, the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, the British Heart Foundation, RNLI and the Iain Rennie Hospice at Hoe, Pitstone, Buckinghamshire.
