Sir Edward Warburton Jones PC, of Headbourne Worthy, Hants, a Lord Justice of Appeal in Northern Ireland 1973- 84 and a Northern Ireland High Court Judge 1968-73, left estate valued at pounds 185,902 net.

Mr Geoffrey Ayrton Drain CBE, of London NW3, General Secretary of Nalgo 1973-83, left estate valued at pounds 133,398 net.

Mr George Wynn-Williams, of London SW6, the obstetrician and gynaecologist who was obstetric surgeon to Queen Charlotte's Hospital and the Chelsea Women's Hospital and consultant gynaecologist to the Civil Service left estate valued at pounds 365,429 net.

Mrs Maureen Mary Moir, of Worplesdon, Surrey, left estate valued at pounds 2,149,190 net.

Miss Margaret Powell, of Shenley Brook End, Buckinghamshire, left estate valued at pounds 2,888,291 net.

Mr Alfred Victor Stanley Smith, of Wargrave, Berkshire, left estate valued at pounds 2,239,490 net.

Mr Raymond Edward Marsh, of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,707,325 net.

Mrs Barbara Winifred Heaton Herd, of Lindfield, West Sussex, left estate valued at pounds 1,680,602 net.

Mrs Nancy Smeeton, of Hathersage, Derbyshire, left estate valued at pounds 652,228 net. She left pounds 43,000, her home and other bequests to personal legatees, pounds 5,000 to St Michael's Parish Church, Hathersage, and the residue equally between the PDSA and the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Leonard Spencer Kale, of Bures, Suffolk, left estate valued at pounds 182,070 net. He left his entire estate equally between Redwings Horse Sanctuary, the Wood Green Animal Shelters and the Blue Cross.
