Mr Charles Maurice Rothwell, of Salford, Greater Manchester, left estate valued at pounds 799,740 net. After personal bequests of pounds 2,000, and one-third of the residue, he left two-thirds of the residue to form the Maurice Rothwell Trust, half the income to go for 80 years after his death to the Agecroft Rowing Club, and one quarter each to the Manchester Canoe Club and British Canoe Union; and thereafter for such rowing, canoeing or charitable purposes as the trustees may determine.
Miss Alice Maud Walk, of Camborne, Cornwall, left estate valued at pounds 1,512,695 net. She left her estate to her mother or, in the event of her predecease, to Barnardo's (to whom probate has been granted).
