Uma Thurman is recovering after breaking several bones in a horse riding accident.

The Pulp Fiction actress was riding the horse during training when the thoroughbred horse got “spooked” and threw the actress off which resulted in her breaking several bones.

A representative for Thurman said in a statement: “Uma was in an equestrian accident. She was training on a young thoroughbred who got spooked. She was thrown and broke a few bones.”

Page Six quotes sources who reportedly saw the 46-year-old “walking gingerly” and being helped by her children into a restaurant while on holiday on the Caribbean island of St Barts. It is not known when or where the accident occurred.

Thurman has two children, a daughter Maya Ray and son Levon, with her ex-husband the actor Ethan Hawke. She also has a daughter, who was born in 2012, with her former partner Arpad Busson.
