From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Jourdan Dunn called the Victoria’s Secret fashion show “BS” and said she was glad she was no longer involved with the lingerie brand in a tweet that was quickly deleted.

The supermodel has been a fixture of the lingerie brand’s annual catwalk since 2012 but is no longer listed on their “Meet The Angels” page online.

Dunn’s tweet in full said “Feeling so much better about not doing BS ….sorry I mean VS now that Rihanna isn’t doing it also” followed by an emoji.

Rihanna was due to perform at the event but reportedly had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts, and has now been replaced by Ellie Goulding.

She isn’t the only model who appears to have parted company with the brand; Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes have both departed recently.

Last week it was reported that Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have both been cast to appear in the show. Neither have been confirmed as VS models.

The Independent has contacted Dunn and Victoria’s Secret for comment.
