While Steve-O might be considered somewhat of a stunt expert, his most recent attempt fell on its feet.
The Jackass star broke bones in both of his legs after attempting his latest stunt in San Diego on Sunday.
Steve-O, real name Stephen Glover, tried to land on his skateboard from a wooden portaloo which was hit by a car. Despite failing to land it safely the first two attempts it was his third try which saw him shatter his right ankle in three places, reports TMZ.
See the video below for a more visual explanation (don’t try this at home):
As well as dislocating his right ankle, his left leg was not spared of the injury as he broke his left heel too.
On Sunday, Steve-O shared a picture of himself from hospital waiting to undergo surgery. He also told his Twitter followers he now has a long road of recovery ahead of him without painkillers.
Over the years, the prankster’s stunts have resulted in a string of injuries and repercussions. Last year, he spent eight hours in a cell for climbing a crane and setting off fireworks in Los Angeles to protest against Seaworld's captivity of killer whales (orcas).
