It has been reported that the name of the girl - who was born on Saturday 2 April - will not be announced until the monarch has been told.
Kensington Palace told The Independent that the information did not come from them, but it's little wonder royal watchers are growing impatient.
The world's media were on standby for a week, waiting for the Duchess to give birth. The parking notice outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital had been extended for five days as it was rumoured that the Duchess was overdue.
However, in the UK all parents have 42 days to register the name of their child, so Royal watchers could be in for a long wait yet.
Alice and Charlotte are still the favourite predicted names for the girl, but Olivia has had a recent surge in popularity.
