My Secret Life: Katie Price, 34, entrepreneur
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. My parents were… very determined and active. Work ethic is built into the family. None of us are lazy. Mum taught me manners, to give a firm handshake and to treat people as you would expect to be treated yourself, which is hard to do.
The household I grew up in… We moved around a lot and never stayed in the same house for long.
When I was a child I wanted to be… a pop star or a model.
If I could change one thing about myself… I would have my own teeth. I fell off my brother's skateboard when I was younger and have had veneers since.
You wouldn't know it but I am very good at… sewing. I used to customise my clothes with crystals, and make horse rugs, and clothes for my son Harvey.
You may not know it but I'm no good at… being in a room with strangers. I am shy, I am no good at public speaking. I need to be with someone I know.
What I see when I look in the mirror… The same as everyone does, I see me.
I wish I had never worn… the pink catsuit I wore in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. I was seven months pregnant and I looked like a condom.
My favourite item of clothing… My tracksuit bottoms and hoodies. I'm not fashionable, I always top the 'What not to wear' columns.
It's not fashionable but I like… board games. I'd rather play Balderdash than go to a nightclub and I like Monopoly as long as I am the banker.
I drive… a pink Range Rover with pink crystal-studded leather seats and cushions. I have a pink horse lorry, too.
My house is… different to what people expect. It's a Hansel and Gretel house, pretty, with lots of land. It's private. I could stand naked in the middle of the fields and no one would see.
A book that changed me… Being Jordan, my first autobiography. It gave people a real insight into who I am.
Movie heaven… Home Alone. It is one of my happy films. I love it.
My greatest regret… Eurovision. Honestly, I am haunted by it.
My secret crush… Leonardo DiCaprio. I also liked Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme; I think it was the protective, muscular element.
My real-life villains… I love my mum but she can be frightening, like Kathy Bates from Misery. When she's in a bad mood, you know about it.
The last time I cried… On Deal Or No Deal. I had to introduce one of my friends, Louise. She has survived cancer three times and is so brave.
My five-year plan… I always have a business plan but I try and live each day like it's my last. I don't plan on retiring. What's the point? You only live once and you're a long time dead, so enjoy it.
