An ambulance was called to the Golden Globes last night after a male attendee passed out at his table mid-ceremony.

The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that paramedics were alerted to an incident at the awards in Los Angeles, but were cancelled before they got there.

The man was originally reported to be Jane Fonda’s boyfriend, Richard Perry.

However, a spokesperson for the actress told the Hollywood Reporter that Perry remained in good health throughout the evening, and that the casualty was actually an unidentified man at a nearby table.

Theo Kingma, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association president, told the Hollywood Reporter that the man had lost consciousness under the heat of the venue lights.

American Horror Story actress Kathy Bates also appeared to suffer a malady during the ceremony.

E! Online reported that the 66-year-old star was heard “screaming in pain” after someone stood on her foot.
