Dreamy vampires, a surly doctor and a rapper in Recovery were top winners at the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, TV's House, and Eminem each won four awards at the ceremony hosted by Queen Latifah at the downtown Nokia Theatre.

Fans picked Twilight as their favourite overall movie and favourite drama. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were their favourite on-screen team, and Stewart also won actress honours.

Johnny Depp was favourite actor, Jackie Chan won for action star, Adam Sandler was comedic star and Toy Story 3 was voted favourite family movie.

House was TV's top winner. The show was fans' favourite television drama, and stars Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were the favourite actor and actress in the drama category. Laurie's character, Gregory House, was named favourite TV doctor.

Glee was voted top TV comedy, and star Jane Lynch was the favourite comedy actress. Neil Patrick Harris won comedy actor honours.

Eminem dominated the music category. He was fans' favourite hip-hop artist and male musician, and his song with Rihanna, Love The Way You Lie, won favourite song and music video. Katy Perry was a double winner with favourite female artist and favourite online sensation.

Rihanna, Usher and Taylor Swift were named favourite pop, R&B and country artist respectively.

Fans chose the winners in all categories.
