Quamine Taylor, from Queens, New York City, was arrested at the sprawling home in East Hampton, Long Island, on April 1, according to the New York Post.
He is being held in Suffolk County Jail on trespassing and petty larceny charges. The unemployed 30-year-old has not posted bail of 2,000 dollars (£1,260).
East Hampton Town Police say they were called to the house after a caretaker found Taylor inside.
In 2010, a Florida woman claiming to be Combs's wife was arrested in East Hampton. Authorities said she was found twice at a home she mistakenly thought was owned by Combs.
