Your support makes all the difference.Louis CK has asked TMZ to take down a video of the crash involving his friend and fellow comedian Tracy Morgan.
The accident, which took place on 7 June, left one dead and four injured. Morgan is currently still in hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Walmart lorry driver Kevin Roper, 35 – who had allegedly not slept for 24 hours – swerved to avoid traffic on the New Jersey turnpike and collided into the 30 Rock actor’s chauffeur-driven limousine, carrying six people – including 62-year-old comedian James McNair, who was killed.
Other passengers included comedians Ardie Fuqua – who is a critical condition - and Harris Stanton, who was injured but has since been released from hospital, and Morgan’s assistant Jeffrey Millea, who was also injured.
US celebrity news site TMZ consequently shared footage taken by a witness and shows Fuqua being carried out of Morgan’s vehicle unconscious.
Louis CK – real name Louis Szekely – tweeted his request after Fuqua’s daughter asked for the website to remove the clip.
Krizya Fuqua took to Instagram to petition for the film to be taken down, describing it as “hurtful and distasteful”.
“They don’t understand how hurtful it is to see my father dragged out of the wreckage,” she wrote.
“Along with all the false information about his condition. I understand people want to know and be updated, but enough is enough. This is hurting my heart so badly that this video is posted for all to see. Noone should see my father this way.”
TMZ has not yet responded to the comedian and the film remains live.
Roper has been charged with death by auto and assault, but has pleaded not guilty. He could face more than a decade in prison if convicted.
