Your support makes all the difference.Liam Gallagher is apparently “fuming” after failing to reach a child support settlement with the mother of his love child on 24 June.
The Oasis frontman phoned on a conference call to listen to the proceedings in Manhattan, but his lawyers allege that former girlfriend Liza Ghorbani is “a very hard lady to satisfy”.
Journalist Ghorbani gave birth to Gallagher’s daughter, Gemma, in 2013 following a fling. They met after she interviewed him for a piece written for the New York Times.
He was at the time still married to Nicole Appleton, who later divorced him for adultery. Ghorbani filed a multi-million lawsuit against him over child support.
“She’s a very hard lady to satisfy,” the singer’s lawyer Raoul Felder said outside court today.
“This has been a tortuous route.”
The musician is said to be less than happy with the outcome of the latest hearing.
“Liam just wants the deal done and to move on,” a source told The Mirror.
“He was fuming they couldn't get it sorted out as it has been dragging on for a long time.”
Gallagher has allegedly been paying Ghorbani £3,000 per month towards the care of their daughter.
The two appeared in New York court in May when Justice Laura Drager told them to continue negotiating, adding that, “hopefully it will produce a settlement.”
However, no deal has yet been reached. Ghorbani’s lawyer, Ira Garr, allegedly said she wanted to investigate the singer’s net worth before settling.
“We’re still trying to settle,” Garr said.
A new hearing in planned for September.
