At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Lamar Odom was found with “white stuff” coming out of his mouth when he was discovered unconscious at a brothel, according to new audio footage released by Nevada authorities.

Panicked calls to 911 were played at a press conference as it was revealed Odom was in a coma after being found face-down and unresponsive in a suite at the Love Ranch.

In one call, a woman urges the ambulance to “hurry” as Odom has “blood coming out of his nose, white stuff coming out of his mouth, and we can’t get him to wake up”.

In a follow-up call, a man says he sees “white stuff” coming out Odom’s mouth and nose and finds a sachet of what appears to be herbal viagra, confirming that “he’s taken a bunch of these”.

Several woman present during the phone call allege that Odom had cocaine on him, but he had "finished" it by Saturday.

Odom played 14 seasons in the NBA. He won two NBA championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, and played for the NBA for a final time in 2013 with the Clippers.

The 35-year-old also featured regularly on the reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians because of his four year wedding to Khloe Kardashian.
