Kim Kardashian-West pokes fun at 'no talent' perception as she models on cover of Forbes

Kim Kardashian-West made $51million last year from various business ventures. In spite of this, there are some who are still quick to brand her as having no talent.

While she may not act, sing or play sports, the figures from the tech and entertainment empire she has built speak for themselves.

Her business and tech achievements have now landed her on the cover of the most recent issue of Forbes magazine, the bi-weekly finance magazine, who credit her with leading “The New Mobile Moguls”.

Sharing the cover on her social media platforms, the businesswoman poked fun at the perceptions of her some still hold, writing: "#NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent”.

In its profile, the magazine pays particular attention to her gaming venture, the Kim Kardashian Hollywood Game, which invites fans to essentially live her life in virtual form. Forbes estimates Kardashian-West made $45million from the game alone since it launched in 2014 and that the game contributed to 40 per cent of her earnings over the past year.

Other ventures including her emoji app: Kimoji, continued strong social media presence and endorsement deals and her app have ensured she continues to reap the monetary benefit.

The 35-year-old’s financial successes landed her at number 42 on Forbes’ highest-celebrity earners of 2016 list with a combined accumulative earning of $51million. Pole position went to Taylor Swift, who earned $170million (£130million) from 1 June 2015 to 1 June 2016. One Direction, James Patterson, Dr Phil McGraw and Cristiano Ronaldo completed the top five.
