Kardashian family deny being 'culturally unprepared’ for Cuba trip
US tabloid suggested social-media obsessed family were having trouble with the internet and 'couldn't wait to leave'

Representatives for the Kardashian family have denied they were “culturally unprepared” for their trip to Cuba after tabloid reports they were upset at having limited internet access.
Selfie-loving sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian were in the capital of Havana with Kanye West to film scenes for Keeping up With the Kardashians.
But a source quoted by Page Six said the family was upset about not being able to update their millions of followers as often as they might like.
“They love the culture, but they don’t like the technology," the source was quoted as saying. "They’ve had an issue every two seconds about not having internet. They complained they couldn’t get on Snapchat. They’re frustrated and they can’t wait to leave.”
A spokesperson for Kim Kardashian told the Independent: “Their item is false. The ladies were aware there would be no internet prior to their trip.”
The trip prompted a number of headlines after Khloe was criticised for posing in front of a monument of Fidel Castro, with some commentators branding the image offensive and disrespectful.
