As the ongoing feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West has continued to escalate, a multitude of stars have thrown their hats into the ring and given their two pence. Proving the high drama dispute shows no sign of ending anytime soon, Justin Bieber has become the latest individual to wade headfirst into the spat.

The 22-year-old Canadian pop singer posted a FaceTime conversation between him and West on his Instagram. Bieber did not mince his words, captioning the image: “Taylor Swift what up”.

The fact his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez is a friend of Swift did not seem to bother him from appearing to side with 'Team Kanye'.

Bieber's entry into the debate did not go unnoticed, with the hashtag #TaylorSwiftWhatUp quickly trending on Twitter and fans sharing incalculable memes about the situation.

In case it has passed you by, the last few weeks have seen West and Swift go back-and-forth with each other over the contentious lyrics to the song “Famous”.

But West isn't the only person who has been glimpsed on Bieber's Instagram. In recent days, his feed has featured a more-than-usual number of scantily-clad young women. One video includes four women in white bikinis parading around a swimming pool not doing very much. The exact point of the video is not entirely clear.

A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to request for comment.
