It would appear that Justin Bieber’s music is enough to put off even hungry wild bears from their food.
Russian fisherman Igor Vorozhbitsyn, 42, was walking towards a fishing spot he’d marked out in northern Russia’s Yakutia Republic when a bear jumped on him from behind and began attacking him.
Fortunately for Vorozhbitsyn, his Justin Bieber “Baby” ringtone went off and the bear was driven away – presumably alarmed by the punishingly shrill sounds of the song.
The fisherman is currently recovering after suffering cuts and severe bruising to his face and chest.
“I had parked my car and was walking towards the spot I'd marked out when there was a tremendous impact on my back and the bear was on top of me,” he told the Daily Mail.
“I couldn't believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled.
“I know that sort of ringtone isn't to everyone's taste but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke.”
When not inadvertently saving men from bear mauling, Bieber has been busy getting into an alleged fight with Orlando Bloom – which he is seemingly very proud of.
