Justin Bieber has been summoned for questioning by an investigative judge in Argentina - and warned that he faces arrest if he does not comply.

The “Baby” singer is accused of sending bodyguards to attack a photographer outside a Buenos Aires nightclub during his South American tour last year.

Argentinian photographer Diego Pesoa alleges he was chased and beaten on 9 November last year outside the INK nightclub, where the pop singer and his entourage were partying.

State-run news agency Telam reported that Judge Facundo Cubas has asked Interpol to use “all necessary means” to notify Bieber that he has 60 days to appear before the court in Argentina.

The judge said that if the singer fails to meet the terms, an international arrest warrant will be issued.

Bieber has found himself in hot water on more than one occasion over the past year.

In January he was arrested for drag racing while drunk in Miami, while in June he was forced to apologise after two videos emerged of him as a teenager making racist comments about black people, including using the n-word.
