From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

A couple in Canada took full advantage of their acquaintance with actor Jeff Goldblum at their wedding, getting him to take part in a 'running away from a monster' photograph and Photoshopping in a T-Rex at a later date.

Wedding photographer Adam Biesenthal couldn’t resist putting the image on Reddit, where he explained that Goldblum was only too happy to get back in the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm.

"Truth be told, he was a very cool guy," he explained. "When the groom asked him to do this shot he enthusiastically agreed and as one commenter mentioned, [he] was the only one who really got into character (aside from the one groomsman on the right). Everyone else kept smiling the whole time!"

Goldblum is himself set to get married soon, after recently proposing to his girlfriend Emilie Livingston.

This isn't the first wedding-related celebrity photobomb of the year, with Bill Murray previously getting in on an engagement photo in Charleston, South Carolina.
