Your support makes all the difference.Emma Watson has topped AskMen’s list of the most outstanding women in the world, among a star-studded list of 99 successful and inspiring women, from the top female skier Lindsey Vonn to Michelle Obama.
The website described Watson as the “face of feminism right now”, and AskMen publisher James Bassil praised the actress for “throwing her back into a serious social issue in an effort to shift the way our society treats women”.
AskMen said the list aims to celebrate the beautiful, talented, glamorous and “just plain kickass” women “who are defining the world we live in,” and among the Hollywood talent and pop icons such as Angelina Jolie Pit and Taylor Swift, businesswomen such as Yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer are on the list, as are sportswomen such as the only Formula 1 racing driver Susie Wolff.
Watson told a captivated audience at Davos in January that she has had her “breath taken away” by the positive responses she has received since launching the HeForShe campaign in September.
“I’ve been stunned by the amount of men in my life that have contacted me since my speech to tell me to keep going, and that they want to make sure that their daughters will still be alive to see a world where women have power and equality, economically and politically,” she said at the summit.
