A 35-year-old man who appeared on reality TV and spent $100,000 on plastic surgery to look like pop star Justin Bieber has been reported missing.

Tobias Strebel, formerly known as Toby Sheldon, was last seen on 18 August in West Hollywood. Police say he may be driving a gray 2009 Toyota Camry.

"This is very unusual for him to be missing. He hasn’t done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything," his friend Mel Espinoza told ABC News.

Strebel appeared on reality show Botched in 2014, where he said he dreamed of looking like a younger Bieber.

"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package," he explains. "The full cheeks, the full tmeples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing, his bangs and his full head of hair.

"[He’s] just extraordinarily beautiful."

Los Angeles Police Department have urged people with any information on his whereabouts to get in touch.
