Dr Dre was cited after a man accused him of brandishing a firearm during a driveway confrontation outside of the producer’s Malibu home.

The Associated Press reported that Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, asked the man to move his car that was blocking the entrance to his driveway.

The man complied, but reportedly continued to berate Dre as he pulled away from the house. When Dre parked his car, TMZ explained, the man continued to shout obscenities at the rapper, who apparently pulled out his phone to record the motorist.

“Here we go again, another black guy with a gun,” the man allegedly said before calling 911.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call and searched Dre, leaving him in handcuffs throughout. No gun was recovered at the scene.

The motorist still filed a citizen’s arrest for brandishing a firearm, a misdemeanor in California.

Dr Dre was not placed under arrest. The district attorney will determine whether or not to proceed with charges against him.
