15 July: The Queen, Patron, the Royal British Legion, today visited the Legion's Training Centre at Tidworth and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Wiltshire (Field Marshal Sir Roland Gibbs) and the President (Vice-Admiral Sir Geoffrey Dalton).
Having unveiled a commemorative plaque, Her Majesty toured the College and subsequently attended a Reception.
Afterwards The Queen honoured the President with her presence at Luncheon.
The Lady Susan Hussey, the Right Hon Sir Robert Fellowes and Major James Patrick were in attendance.
15 July: The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, today attended the opening of the Seventy-Fifth Birthday Appeal Gala, Pontefract Racecourse, Pontefract, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for West Yorkshire (Mr John Lyles).
Mrs William Nunneley was in attendance.

15 July: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, this afternoon opened the new Community Hall in Lydd, Kent.
Dame Frances Campbell-Preston and Sir Alastair Aird were in attendance.

15 July: The Prince of Wales this morning held a meeting to discuss the restoration of Windsor Castle.
His Royal Highness this afternoon gave a Luncheon for Mr Marmaduke Hussey.
KENSINGTON PALACE
15 July: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon this afternoon visited the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society's 90th Annual Summer Show in the Home Park, Windsor.
Mrs Charles Vyvyan was in attendance.
15 July: The Duchess of Gloucester this morning opened the Ty Glyn Davis Trust Holiday Centre for Special Children, Ciliau Aeron, Lampeter, Dyfed, and was received on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Dyfed (Mr David Mansel Lewis).
In the afternoon Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief, St John Ambulance Wales, visited North Divisional Headquarters, Cwrt Herbert Playing Fields, and was received on arrival by Commodore RC Hastie (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan).
In the evening The Duchess of Gloucester attended the Summer Ball in aid of St John Ambulance West Glamorgan at the Orangery, Margam Abbey, Port Talbot.
Mrs Euan McCorquodale was in attendance.

15 July: The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, the United Grand Lodge of England, this morning visited the Albany Sheltered Housing and Nursing Home, London Road, Headington, Oxfordshire, and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Oxford (Sir Ashley Ponsonby Bt).

The Duchess of Kent, Patron, the Christie Hospital, this morning received Sir John Page, Chairman.
