15 May: Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester was present this morning at the 50th and final Anniversary Memorial Service of the 355th Fighter Group Association (USAAF) at Steeple Morden Airfield, Cambridgeshire.
Her Royal Highness was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire (Mr James Crowden).
Mrs Michael Harvey was in attendance.

15 May: The Duchess of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, the Royal Dragoon Guards, this afternoon arrived at RAF Northolt from Paderborn, Germany.
Mrs Peter Troughton was in attendance.
The Duke of Kent, President, the Football Association, accompanied by The Duchess of Kent, this afternoon attended the Football Association's Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Wembley, Middlesex.

Lord High Commissioner
15 May: His Grace the Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, The Right Hon Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden, accompanied by Her Grace Lady Macfarlane, this morning attended the opening ceremony of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Among the guests for luncheon were:
The Speaker of the House of Commons; The Duke of Argyll; The Earl and Countess of Dundee; The Master of Lauderdale and Viscountess Maitland; Sir David and Lady Butter; Sir Duncan and Lady McDonald; Sir Nicholas and Lady Goodison; The Very Rev Hugh Wyllie and Mrs Wyllie; Miss Valerie Butler; Mr and Mrs Crispin Davies; The Rev Dr Finlay Macdonald and Mrs Macdonald; Brigadier Ian Reid.
In the afternoon their Graces gave a Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for 4,400 guests.
His Grace then visited the Holyrood High Constable's Mess.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS
The Prince of Wales pays an official visit to the Republic of Poland at the invitation of President Walesa. The Princess of Wales, Honorary Freeman of the Grocers' Company, attends a lunch with the Court in Grocers' Hall, London EC2. Princess Margaret, President, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, opens the Oldham, Bury and Rochdale Child Protection Team's new building in Oldham, Lancashire; and visits the Lyceum Music Centre, Oldham. The Duchess of Kent, Patron, Unicef UK, attends a recital and reception given by the Diplomatic Wives' Committee at the residence of the German Ambassador, London SW1.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
