14 May: The Prince Edward this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Spain.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer and Mr Christopher Lloyd were in attendance.

ST JAMES'S PALACE

14 May: The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in- Chief, today visited the Royal Dragoon Guards on the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Dettingen, Paderborn, Germany.

Captain John Warburton-Lee was in attendance.

YORK HOUSE

14 May: The Duke of Kent, President, the Imperial War Museum, this morning visited the American Air Museum in Great Britain at Royal Air Force Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

Commander Roger Walker RN was in attendance.

The Duke of Kent, Member, the Honourable Artillery Company, this evening dined with the Mess Club at Armoury House, London EC1.

Captain the Honourable Tom Coke was in attendance.

Lord High Commissioner

14 May: His Grace the Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, The Right Honourable Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden, arrived in Edinburgh to take up residence at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

His Grace then inspected the Guard of Honour provided by the 2nd Battalion, Scots Gaurds. He was accompanied by Her Grace Lady Macfarlane.

In the evening there was a reception for 350 guests and the ceremony of the Keys took place. Among the dinner guests at the Palace of Holyroodhouse were:

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

Princess Alice attends the 50th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony of the 355th Fighter Group Association (USAAF) at Steeple Morden Airfield, Cambridgeshire. The Duke of Kent, President, the Football Association, accompanied by the Duchess of Kent, attends the Football Association's Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Wembley, Middlesex.

Changing of the Guard

TODAY: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.

TOMORROW: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 10am; 1st Battalion The King's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by The King's Regiment.
