9 May: By command of The Queen, the Viscount Astor (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Arrival of the Governor-General of Grenada and Lady Palmer and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.
8 May: The Prince Edward, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this afternoon attended 'Challenge '93', Normanby Hall, Scunthorpe, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Humberside (Mr Anthony Bethell).
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Concert given by the London Mozart Players, the Fairfield Halls, Croydon.
9 May: The Prince Edward, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this afternoon attended the Wine Magazine International Challenge and National Wine Week Festival, Harbour Yard, Chelsea Harbour, London SW10.

8 May: The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal Lymington Yacht Club, accompanied by Commander Timothy Laurence RN, this afternoon opened the Royal Lymington Yacht Club's new waterfront, Bath Road, Lymington, Hampshire.
9 May: The Princess Royal, Colonel in Chief, The King's Royal Hussars, this morning reviewed the Combined Cavalry 'Old Comrades' Parade in Hyde Park and laid a wreath at the Cavalry Memorial.
Afterwards Her Royal Highness attended the first Regimental Association Luncheon of The King's Royal Hussars, the Inter-Continental Hotel, Hyde Park Corner, London W1.

The Princess Royal visits the second phase of Ankerside Shopping Centre, opens Tamworth Crime Stop Shop and the new Tamworth Probation Centre, Tamworth, Staffordshire; as President, The Rural Housing Trust, opens the Rural Housing Trust Scheme for the Elderly, Almshouse Croft, Bradely, Staffordshire, and reopens Bradely Village Hall; and later, as President, Save the Children Fund, holds a Reception at Buckingham Palace for members of the Young Presidents' Organisation. The Duke of Gloucester visits Hinchingbrooke School, Huntingdon; opens the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce and Industry's European Information Bureau, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire; opens the Green Lane Clinic, Combined Sports and Health Clinic Development, Thrapston; and later is present at the Silver Jubilee and Tricentennial Celebrations of Ecton House, Sywell, Northamptonshire.
