BUCKINGHAM PALACE

15 December: The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Mr Marcus Bishop was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr Michael Tims was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as Assistant to the Master of the Household 'G' Branch, when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

His Excellency Senor Don Felipe de la Morena and Senora de la Morena were received in farewell audience by The Queen and took leave upon His Excellency relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Spain to the Court of St James's.

The Right Hon John Major MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, British Athletic Federation, this morning presented Awards and World Record Plaques at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron and Trustee, later attended Receptions for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at St James's Palace.

Wing Commander Christopher Moran RAF was in attendance.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, gave a Lunch and took the chair at a Meeting of the International Trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron and Trustee, and The Prince Edward, Trustee and Chairman, the International Council, attended a Reception and Dinner for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award World Fellowship at St James's Palace.

Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis was in attendance.

The Lady Susan Hussey has succeeded the Hon Mary Morrison as Lady-in-Waiting to The Queen.

15 December: The Duke of York left Royal Air Force Northolt this morning for Germany to visit the families of those soldiers serving in Bosnia and Croatia.

Captain Neil Blair RN and Captain Rupert Maitland- Titterton are in attendance.

15 December: The Princess Royal, Patron, National Association of Victims Support Schemes, this afternoon attended the sixth Meeting or the Victim Support Advisory Board, Church House, Westminster, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness this evening visited Canning House, 2 Belgrave Square, London SW1.

KENSINGTON PALACE

15 December: The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Air Corps, today visited Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire.

Lieutenant-Commander Robert Fraser RN was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, this evening attended the Annual Meeting and Reception of the Per Cent Club at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1.

The Princess of Wales, Patron, Turning Point, this morning attended a Conference, 'The Voluntary Sector: the 1990s and Beyond', at Merchant Taylors' Hall, London EC2.
