17 October: The Queen was represented by The Prince of Wales at the State Funeral of Herr Willy Brandt, formerly Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, which was held in the Reichstag, Berlin, this morning.
The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon re-opened the 2nd Datchet Scout Group Hall at Datchet.
18 October: The Duke of York, Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps, this morning took the Salute at the Trafalgar Day Parade, Trafalgar Square, London SW1.
Captain Rupert Maitland- Titterton was in attendance.
18 October: The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, attended by the Hon Mrs Louloudis, left Heathrow Airport, London, this morning for New York.

18 October: The Duchess of Kent this afternoon visited the Sainsbury Centre, University of East Anglia and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Norfolk (Mr Timothy Colman) and later visited the Castle Museum, Norwich.
Her Royal Highness, Patron of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, this evening attended a Concert in St Andrew's Hall, Norwich.
Mrs Peter Troughton was in attendance.

The Princess of Wales attends the film premiere of 1492 - The Conquest of Paradise in aid of the NSPCC and, as Patron, Relate, at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square, London WC2.
The Duke of Kent, President of the Royal Television Society, attends a dinner at the start of their Autumn Symposium at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London W2.
Princess Alexandra opens the rebuilt Kennel Complex at the Breeding Centre of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association at Tollgate House, near Warwick, and the refurbished Midlands Regional Training Centre at Edmonscote Manor, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
