20 October: By command of The Queen, the Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Departure of The Duke of Kent for Singapore and bade farewell to His Royal Highness on behalf of Her Majesty.
20 October: The Prince Edward, Patron, Haddo House Hall Arts Trust, this morning attended a Presentation at Mobil North Sea Limited, Mobil Court, 3 Clements Inn, London WC2.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
His Royal Highness, President, Commonwealth Games Federation, this evening attended a Reception to mark the 1994 United Kingdom Commonwealth Games Appeal launch at St James's Palace.

20 October: The Princess Royal this morning launched HMCC Vincent at Rosyth Royal Dockyard, Rosyth, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Fife (the Earl of Elgin and Kincardine KT).

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, this afternoon visited the Save the Children Shop, 12 Melville Place, Edinburgh.
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the Scotland Yard Adventure Centre, 70 Eyre Place, Edinburgh.
