Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children Fund, this afternoon attended the Children in Cities 1994 Champions Luncheon at KPMG Peat Marwick, Puddle Dock, Blackfriars, London EC4.
The Princess Royal, Patron, SENSE, the National Deaf-Blind and Rubella Association, later opened the new Head Office, 11-13 Clifton Terrace, Finsbury Park, London N4.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Autistic Society, afterwards opened 57 Halliday Square, Hanwell, London W12.
Mrs Charles Ritchie was in attendance.
ST JAMES'S PALACE
6 October: The Prince of Wales this morning departed from Royal Air Force Northolt for a visit to Istanbul.
Sir Derek Dodson (Special Representative of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present and took leave of His Royal Highness.
Mr Stephen Lamport and Commander Robert Fraser RN were in attendance.

6 October: Princess Alexandra and theHon Sir Angus Ogilvy this evening attended a Gala Performance of Sunset Boulevard in aid of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund and SOS (Stars Organisation supporting Action for People with Cerebral Palsy) at the Adelphi Theatre, London WC2.

State Opening of
Parliament
Parliament will by opened by the Queen at 11.30am on Thursday 18 November 1993.
Peers who will be present at the ceremony may apply for places in the Chamber for their peeresses, or alternatively husbands, and for eldest sons or daughters above 14 years of age.
A limited number of seats in the Royal Gallery will be available for guests of members of both Houses of Parliament. Members of the House of Commons should apply for these seats to the Speaker's Secretary, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA.
Applications from peers using the forms issued to those eligible should be sent to the Secretary to the Lord Great Chamberlain, House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW, by Friday 22 October 1993.

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
