5 October: The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, this morning watched the British Blind Sailing Team squad of the Association's Seamanship Foundation training at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, Bath Road, Lymington, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Hampshire (Lt-Col Sir James Scott Bt).
Her Royal Highness, President, the Rural Housing Trust, this afternoon opened Bankes Cottages for the English Villages Housing Association Scheme at Heath Green Road, Studland, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Dorset (the Lord Digby).

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, attends Children in Cities 1993 Champions Luncheon and Reception, KPMG Peat Marwick, London EC4; as President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, visits Henry Poole & Co, London W1; as Patron, Sense, the National Deaf-Blind and Rubella Association, opens the new Head Office, London N4; and as Patron, the National Autistic Society, opens a house in Hanwell, London W12. Princess Alexandra attends a Gala Performance of Sunset Boulevard in aid of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund at the Adelphi Theatre, London WC2.

The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace opens between 10am and 5pm. The Royal Mews opens between 12pm and 4pm, and last admission is at 3.30pm.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen'Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Scots Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guards.
Windsor Castle
The Precincts at Windsor Castle open between 10.30am and 4pm. The State Apartments open between 10.30am and 5pm.
