29 November: The Right Hon Kenneth Clarke MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Trustee, today attended a Council Meeting and Luncheon at St George's House, Windsor, the Royal County of Berkshire.

By command of The Queen, Captain Norman Lloyd-Edwards RNR (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for South Glamorgan) was present at Cardiff Wales Airport this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Ireland and Mr Robinson and welcomed Her Excellency and Mr Robinson on behalf of Her Majesty.

29 November: The Prince Edward this evening attended the British Land British Open 1993 Real Tennis Doubles Final at The Queen's Club, Palliser Road, London W14.

Mrs Richard Warburton was in attendance.

KENSINGTON PALACE

29 November: The Duchess of Gloucester, Chief Patron, Women Caring Trust, was present this evening at the House of Lords v House of Commons Charity Swim at the RAC Club, Pall Mall, London W1.

Miss Suzanne Marland was in attendance.

Order of the Thistle

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Sir Fitzroy Maclean of Dunconnel CBE, to be a Knight Companion of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.

The Princess of Wales, President, The General Council and Register of Osteopaths, attends a Reception at the State Apartments, Kensington Palace. The Princess Royal, President, Royal Smithfield Club, attends the Royal Smithfield Show, Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, London SW5. Princess Margaret, Patron, The Migraine Trust, visits the London Neurological Centre, London W1, and afterwards attends a reception for the Trustees at the Medical Society of London, London W11. The Duke of Gloucester, President, National Association of Boys' Clubs, visits Boys' Clubs in Middlesex. The Duke of Kent, Trustee, the Science Museum, attends a Trustees' Meeting at Exhibition Road, London SW7; and as Patron, the Hanover Band, attends a concert at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London SW7. The Duchess of Kent, Patron, the Queen Alia Fund of Jordan, attends a seminar at London House, London WC1. Princess Alexandra attends a concert and dinner in aid of Toynbee Hall at St James's Palace, London SW1. Prince Michael of Kent, Commodore, Royal Naval Auxiliary Service, visits the unit at Hull. The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace opens between 10am and 5pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts at Windsor Castle open between 10.30am and 4pm, and the State Apartments between 10.30am and 4pm.
