26 November: By Command of The Queen, Vice-Admiral Sir James Weatherall (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Senor Luis Davalos at 3 Hans Crescent, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the Republic of Ecuador to the Court of St James's.

THATCHED HOUSE LODGE

26 November: Princess Alexandra today received Commander Nicholas Hudson, Royal Navy, upon relinquishing command of HMS Broadsword and Commander Paul Robinson, Royal Navy, on assuming command.

Prince Edward today attends the International Rugby Football Union match between England and the New Zealand All Blacks at Twickenham, Middlesex; tomorrow, as Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, attends a reception given by the Girls' Brigade to celebrate their 1500th Gold Award recipient, Glasgow City Chambers, Glasgow; and as Patron, Scottish Badminton Union, attends the final of the Scottish Open Badminton Championships at Kelvin Hall International Sport Arena, Glasgow.
