BUCKINGHAM PALACE

10 November: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia drove to St James's Palace in a Carriage Procession, accompanied by a Captain's Escort of the Household Cavalry with Standard, and received High Commissioners of the Commonwealth Countries and Ambassadors accredited to the Court of St James's.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia this morning visited the Hospital for Sick Children, London WC1, and was received by the Chairman, the Board of Governors (Sir Brian Hill).

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia visited Lancaster House and were entertained to Luncheon by the Lord Chancellor on behalf of Her Majesty's Government.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia this afternoon visited the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London SW7, and was received by the Provost (the Earl of Gowrie).

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia visited the Palace of Westminster and was received by Air Commodore Alan Curry (Yeoman Usher of the Black Rod) and afterwards attended a Reception and was received by the Lord Chancellor.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia this evening received an Address of Welcome at a Court of Common Council and afterwards were entertained at a Banquet by the Right Hon the Lord Mayor and Corporation of London at Guildhall.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Sir Roger de Grey (President of the Royal Academy of Arts) and Mr Piers Rodgers (Secretary) were received by The Queen.

Mr Richard Dales (British High Commissioner to the Republic of Zimbabwe) and Mrs Dales were received by Her Majesty.

Mr John Chilcot (Permanent Secretary, Northern Ireland Office) was received by The Queen.

Her Majesty this afternoon visited the North London Hospice, 47 Woodside Avenue, North Finchley, London N12, and was received by the Chairman (Dr Louis Freedman) and the Mayor of Barnet (Councillor Victor Lyons).

After touring the hospice, escorted by the Chairman, The Queen unveiled a commemorative plaque.

Mrs Robert de Pass, Mr Robin Janvrin and Lieutenant-Colonel Blair Stewart-Wilson were in attendance.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the International Society for Trenchless Technology, Belgrave Square, London SW1.

His Royal Highness received His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and later gave a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, National Playing Fields Association, this afternoon presented the President's Certificates for 1993 at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Admiral of the Fleet, this evening attended a Dinner at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies, Whitehall, London SW1. Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis was in attendance.

10 November: The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, this morning attended the Industry Committee Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, Animal Health Trust, this afternoon attended the 1993 Equestrian Awards Luncheon at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

Lady Carew-Pole was in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Farriers, later attended a Craft Committee Meeting at the Horserace Betting Levy Board, 52 Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1.

KENSINGTON PALACE

10 November: The Princess of Wales, President, Barnardo's, this afternoon attended the Champion Children Awards Luncheon at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

Captain Edward Musto RM was in attendance.

10 November: The Duke of Kent, Chairman, the National Electronics Council, this afternoon chaired the Council's Annual General Meeting and later attended the Mountbatten Memorial Lecture, followed by dinner at the Institution of Electrical Engineers, Savoy Place, London WC2.

Commander Roger Walker RN was in attendance.

The Duchess of Kent, Patron, the Samaritans, this morning received Mrs Sheila Coggrave, Chairman, on relinquishing the appointment and Mrs Jenny Cunnington on assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Kent, Patron, this evening attended the Cancer Relief Macmillan Fund Christmas Fair Preview at Royal Horticultural New Hall, Vincent Square, London SW1.

10 November: Princess Alexandra this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgiving for the 150th Anniversary of the Queen Victoria Seamen's Rest at Trinity Methodist Church, London E14, followed by a Reception at 121 East India Dock Road.

Her Royal Highness and the Hon Sir Angus Ogilvy this evening attended a Dinner given by the London Appeals Committee for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund at Quaglino's, Bury Street, London SW1.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, attends receptions for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, at St James's Palace. The Queen Mother attends a service in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, to mark the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice and afterwards plants a Cross of Remembrance in the Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at St Margaret's Church, Westminster, London SW1. The Princess of Wales lays the Foundation Stone of the Master's Lodge Forecourt Building at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, attends a Council of Management and visits the Department of Infectious Diseases, Lanwades Hall, Kennett, Newmarket, Suffolk; visits Newmarket Racing Museum, Newmarket; as President, Riding for the Disabled Association, opens the new Manege at the Hereward Group, Knights End Riding Centre, March, Cambridgeshire; and as Chancellor, London University, attends Foundation Day at London University, London WC1. The Duke of Kent, Vice-Chairman, British Overseas Trade Board, addresses the BSCC at the Regent Hotel, London NW1. The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace opens between 10am and 5pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Irish Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts at Windsor Castle open between 10.30am and 4pm.
