18 June: The Duke of York, Colonel-in- Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Cyprus.
Captain Neil Blair RN, Captain Rupert Maitland-Titterton and Major Joyce Gillison were in attendance.
18 June: The Prince Edward, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this afternoon attended a luncheon at the De Vere Hotel and afterwards visited participants of the award at the Superbowl, Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, Swindon, and was received by Major-General John Brockbank (Vice Lord- Lieutenant of Wiltshire).
His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, later attended a Reception at Harveys Wine Museum, 12 Denmark Street, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Avon (Sir John Wills Bt).
The Prince Edward this evening attended the 'Challenge at Work' Reception to celebrate the Twenty-First Anniversary of the Avon Industrial Project at Leigh Court, Abbotsleigh, Bristol, and was received by Colonel John Bryant (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Avon).
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
18 June: The Princess Royal, Patron, Sense, the National Deaf-Blind and Rubella Association, this morning attended the Wales Conference on Deaf-Blindness, Mid-Glamorgan County Hall, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Mid-Glamorgan (Mr Murray McLaggan).
Her Royal Highness, President, the Missions to Seamen, this afternoon opened the Flying Angel Centre, Cargo Road, Cardiff Docks, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for South Glamorgan (Captain Norman Lloyd-Edwards RNR).
The Hon Mrs Legge-Bourke was in attendance.

18 June: The Princess of Wales this morning visited the Refuge, Chiswick, London W4.
The Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited the Junior School of the Study Preparatory School to mark the School's Centenary, Wilberforce House, Camp Road, Wimbledon Common, London SW19.
In the evening Her Royal Highness attended a Concert in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey.
Mrs Euan McCorquodale was in attendance.
