26 July: The President of the French Republic visited The Queen.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this evening gave a Dinner for Founder Members of Charter for Business at Buckingham Palace.
By command of The Queen, the Baroness Trumpington (Baroness-in-Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the French Republic and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

26 July: The Duchess of Kent, Patron, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, this afternoon opened the new Pavilion at Headingley Cricket Ground, Headingley, Leeds and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for West Yorkshire (Mr John Lyles).
Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Leeds, this evening attended a reception and dinner for the Honorary Graduates at Weetwood Hall.
Mrs Peter Troughton was in attendance.
The Duke of Kent this evening took the Salute at the Royal Tournament, Earl's Court, London SW5.
Captain the Honourable Tom Coke was in attendance.

26 July: Princess Alexandra today visited Jersey and was received by His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor (Air Marshal Sir John Sutton) and the Bailiff (Sir Peter Crill).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, met members of the Jersey Branch of BACUP (British Association of Cancer United Patients) at St Brelade and subsequently, visited the Jersey Cheshire Home, Eric Young House, St Helier, on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary.
Later, Princess Alexandra visited the Headquarters of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries at Howard Davis Farm, Trinity.
The Lady Nicholas Gordon Lennox was in attendance.

The Princess of Wales opens St Nicholas' Hospice, Hardwick Heath, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk; as Patron, St Matthew Society, attends a conference at the Athenaeum, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk; opens a sheltered housing scheme for the elderly at William Wood House, Sudbury, Suffolk; and visits Lucas Diesel Systems, Sudbury, Suffolk. The Princess Royal opens the new factory of Quante Telecommunications Limited, Lynx Business Park, Snailwell, Cambridgeshire; and later takes the Salute at a performance of the Royal Tournament, Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, London SW5. The Duchess of Kent, Chancellor, Leeds University, presides over Degree Conferment Ceremonies; and attends a reception and dinner for the Honorary Graduates at Leeds University.
