14 July: The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
The Right Hon John Major MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained at Dinner this evening by The Royal Society of Arts to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of Her Majesty becoming Patron and His Royal Highness becoming President of the society and were received by the Chairman (Mr Michael Frye) and the Director (Mr Christopher Lucas).
The Lady Farnham and Sir Kenneth Scott were in attendance.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, gave an Afternoon Party in the Garden of Buckingham Palace at which The Prince Edward, Trustee, was also present.
14 July: The Prince Edward, Trustee, this morning attended a meeting of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award UK Trustees at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness was represented by the Lady Renfrew of Kaimsthorn at the Funeral of the Reverend Canon James Owen which was held at St Mary the Less, Cambridge, today.
ST JAMES'S PALACE
14 July: The Prince of Wales, Chancellor, University of Wales, this morning officiated at the Degree Ceremony at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and was received by Major W. Kemmis Buckley (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed).
His Royal Highness, this afternoon visited Conwy and Llandudno to meet people affected by the recent flooding and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Gwynedd (Mr Meuric Rees).
Mr Stephen Lamport was in attendance.
The Prince of Wales later visited a waste refineries digester at Unit 3, the Home, Eaton, Bishop's Castle.

Commander Robert Fraser RN was in attendance.

14 July: The Princess of Wales this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from a visit to the Republic of Zimbabwe.
The Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Mr Patrick Jephson and Mr Geoffrey Crawford were in atttendance.
14 July: The Duchess of Gloucester was represented by the Right Hon Sir Peter Emery MP (Chairman, National Asthma Campaign) at a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life and Work of Helen Wilde (Vice-Patron, National Asthma Campaign) which was held at St Margaret's Church, Westminster, SW1.

14 July: The Duchess of Kent this morning visited HMS Sultan, the Royal Naval School of Marine Engineering, Gosport, Hampshire.
