22 February: The Right Hon John Major MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon unveiled a memorial to Admiral of the Fleet the Lord Fieldhouse at Gosport, Hampshire, and was received by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Henry Leach (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).
Major Ian Grant RM was in attendance.
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Reception given by the Bowles Rocks Trust at St James's Palace.
Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis, Wing Commander Christopher Moran RAF, Major Ian Grant RM and Captain Giles Inglis-Jones were in attendance.

22 February: The Duke of Gloucester, President, National Association of Boys' Clubs, today received Mr Derek Harris on relinquishing the appointment as National Director of the Association, and Mr David James on assuming the appointment.
ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS
The Queen holds an Investiture. The Duke of Edinburgh visits the headquarters of the Marine Society, 202 Lambeth Road, London SE1; and as Grand Master of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, attends a court meeting and dinner at Merchant Taylors Hall, London EC2. The Prince of Wales, President, the Prince's Trust and the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust, attends a reception and preview of his watercolour exhibition at the Palace of Holyroodhouse given for supporters by his trusts in Scotland. The Duchess of Gloucester visits speech therapy units at Ley Hill First School, Four Oaks; and later opens Solihull Care Housing Association's refurbished nursing and residential care home in Shirley, Solihull. The Duchess of Kent attends a reception given by the British Federation of Festival for Music, Dance and Speech at the Stationers' Hall, London EC4. Prince Michael of Kent, President of the Institute of the Motor Industry attends a Vice-Presidents' meeting at Fanshaws, Brickendon, Hertford.

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Kings Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by The Kings Regiment.
