17 February: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Reception and Reading at the London Library, 14 St James's Square, London SW1, to mark its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and were received by the President (the Lord Annan).
The Countess of Airlie, the Right Hon Sir Robert Fellowes and Major James Patrick were in attendance.
17 February: The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, this morning visited Dents Limited, Fairfield Road, Warminster, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Wiltshire (Field Marshal Sir Roland Gibbs).

17 February: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Honorary Colonel, The Royal Yeomanry, this evening opened Cavalry House, the new Regimental Headquarters at The Duke of York's Headquarters.
Dame Frances Campbell-Preston, Sir Alastair Aird and Captain the Hon Edward Dawson-Damer were in attendance.
KENSINGTON PALACE
17 February: The Princess of Wales today visited South Yorkshire and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for South Yorkshire (Lieutenant-Colonel Hugh Neill).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Relate, this morning visited Barnsley Relate, 33 Queens Road, Barnsley.
The Princess of Wales this afternoon visited the Rockingham College Training Annex, West Street, Wath-upon-Dearne.
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Thurnscoe Family Centre, Station House, Lidget Lane, Thurnscoe.
Mrs James Lonsdale and Captain Edward Musto RM were in attendance.
17 February: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon was represented by The Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones at a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir Kenneth MacMillan, which was held in Westminster Abbey today.

17 February: The Duke of Kent, Vice-Chairman, the British Overseas Trade Board, this morning visited ERA Technology Limited, Cleeve Road, Leatherhead, Surrey and was met on arrival by Major James More-Molyneaux (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).
His Royal Highness, Chancellor, this afternoon visited the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering of the University of Surrey, Guildford.
Captain the Honourable Tom Coke was in attendance.

Princess Alexandra attends a Concert by the International Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble XXI, in aid of the BEARR (British Emergency Action for Russia and the Republics) Trust at St John's Smith Square, London SW1.
